Charter School Installs CAT6e Structured Cabling System

ICCSuccess Stories

SC – A 1000+ student charter school in Spartanburg, SC, recently hired an ICC Elite Installer to run 174 data drops into their existing ICC CAT6e structured cabling system. The existing network includes over 350 ICC EZ® style jacks and eight intermediate distribution frames (IDFs) supported by wall racks and six 48-port ICC CAT6e patch panels. 24-port CAT6e panels were added into the IDFs and CAT6e modular keystone jacks were installed in the outlets. Also, this new project required 30,000 feet of ICC Category 6e Premise Cable with UTP solid wires and a riser-rated jacket to be pulled into four computer labs, several classrooms, and administrative offices. J-Hooks were used to help route cables overhead between the IDFs and work areas. Over 400 J-Hooks were used to assure the cabling passed inspection throughout all of the cable runs. After the installation had been finished, the Elite Installer emailed ICC the 15-year performance warranty registration form along with their invoices to register the cabling system. ICC issued a proof-of-warranty certificate within 24 hours of submission.
