ICC offers 4 different types of connectors for fiber optic assemblies. The more popular type is the LC (Lucent Connector). It is a snap coupling type and used often for high-density connections. MTP (Multiple-Fiber Termination Push-On/Push-Off) also has a snap coupling and is used to connect 12 fibers. The SC (Subscriber Connector) has a snap (push-pull coupling; duplex) which is used for Datacom and telecom. The ST (straight tip) connector has a bayonet connector used for Datacom.
