Why 35-Inch Vertical Finger Duct Sections Are Easier to Install and Ship

iccPress Releases

Full-length vertical cable managers can be awkward to carry, position, and ship.

ICC’s 35-inch vertical finger duct sections provide a modular option for 7-foot rack cable management. The shorter sections are easier to handle during installation and ship in a shorter carton than a full-length duct.

Easier to Handle During Installation

Shorter sections are easier to carry through a jobsite and position next to the rack. Installers can mount one section at a time instead of handling a full-length vertical duct.

Shorter Shipping Length

The shorter sections also allow the product to ship in a shorter carton. This can make cartons easier to handle during shipping and may help reduce damage associated with long packages.

Build a Full Vertical Cable Path

Each package includes four 35-inch sections. Two sections stack to create each vertical cable path, providing two vertical runs for a 7-foot rack.

Rack Mounting Options

The sections support side or center mounting and provide finger openings for routing copper or fiber cabling along the rack.

A More Manageable Approach for 7-Foot Racks

The 35-inch sections break a full vertical cable run into smaller pieces that are easier to carry, position, mount, and ship. Two sections stack to form each vertical cable path, while the four-piece package provides two complete runs for a 7-foot rack.

For installers working in network rooms, data closets, or distribution areas, the shorter format provides the same vertical routing function without having to handle a single full-length duct during installation.
