ICC offers Category 5e (CAT5e) patch cords that are factory tested to support VoIP and Gigabit Ethernet bandwidths and applications. Patch cords, also known as patch cables, are designed to connect to patch panels, work area outlets, network switches and routers, and any computing device that is equipped with an Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN), a Wide Area Network (WAN), or an RJ-45 enabled port. ICC’s CAT5e patch cords have snagless boots to prevent the retaining clip from snagging on adjacent cables. They also have an enhanced strain relief to prevent over-bending and maintain a high signal performance. CAT5e patch cables are made from 24 AWG stranded bare copper conductors. They come in a variety of colors such as black, blue, gray, green, orange, purple, red, white, and yellow. Also, they are available from one foot to 25 feet in length.
