For better protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio-frequency Interference (RFI), ICC offers Category 6A (CAT6A) FTP patch cords. Patch cords, also known as patch cables, are designed to connect to patch panels, work area outlets, network switches and routers, and any computing device that is equipped with an Ethernet Local Area Network (LAN), a Wide Area Network (WAN), or an RJ-45 enabled port. ICC’s CAT6A patch cords are made with a foil underneath the main cable jacket; they are factory tested to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet bandwidth and applications. CAT6A patch cords have snagless boots where ‘ears’ on the boot protect the retaining clip from snagging on adjacent cables and breaking. They also have an enhanced strain relief to prevent over-bending and maintain high signal performance. ICC’s CAT6A patch cables are made from 26 AWG stranded bare copper conductors. They come in a variety of colors such as black, blue, white, and yellow. Also, they are available from three feet to 25 feet in length.
