NC – A major hotel located near Clemmons, NC recently hired an ICC Elite Installer for a project that required upgrading the hotels structured cabling system to Category 6 performance. The installer pulled over 200,000 feet of riser cable in four colors for each level of the hotel. The REELEX II tangle-free coiling, and big payout tube pull box design made this step easy. They wired and terminated over 3,000 drops between the work areas, living areas, and telecommunications rooms. 2-port surface mount boxes were configured with CAT6 keystone jacks and installed in the work fand living areas. Intermediate cross-connects were positioned onto each floor level. Due to limited floor space, wall mount racks were installed. They were mounted with blank patch panels configured with CAT6 High-Density (HD) keystone jacks. 5-inch D-Rings made of die-cast aluminum was installed as a cost-effective way to route cable along the walls. The installer was able to save on material cost and lower waste by purchasing Valuepacks. Each ValuePack of 400 CAT6 jacks came with a free JackEasy termination tool. Best of all, their purchases of ICC products reach over $10K, which qualifies them to earn 2% back in rewards.
