November 2018: ICC Offers Lower Cost Voice+Data Residential Wiring Enclosures

ICC’s Residential Wiring Enclosure Combos (model K) are an installer favorite because they always come complete with Voice, Data, and Video splitter modules. However, some ICC installers’ have noticed that certain content providers, like CATV or Satellite dish networks, will occasionally remove and throw way ICC’s video modules and replace them with their own video splitters. ICC installers would prefer a combo unit without the splitter to save money on materials and time installing them.

Introducing, the new Voice and Data Residential Wiring Enclosures (model W) as a lower-cost option and without the video splitter. This model has only one installable module which includes both voice and data connectivity. The voice connectivity portion has six wiring blocks. These six wiring blocks, with proper daisy-chain, can wire up to twenty-four, single-line outlets. The data connectivity portion has a six-port CAT5e data outlet which supports up to 1,000 Mbps of Gigabit Ethernet and meets TIA’s industry performance standards. The single, installable module allows ICC to lower the unit cost and decrease installation time/cut installation time in half.
