A Bank Awards a Data Cabling Contract to an ICC Elite Installer

ICC Success Stories

NE – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a 160 data drop contract for a bank branch in Nebraska. The installer used ICC’s Category 6 (CAT 6) structured cabling system to build the communications network.

The system extended from the Telecommunications Room (TR) to the Work Area Outlets (WO). A 7-foot cable management rack supported the Main Cross-connect (MC). The connectivity consisted of 15,000 feet of CAT 6e plenum-rated cable and 325 CAT 6 keystone jacks in blue. The cable was routed using ICC’s ladder rack runway system, which included ladder rack in 5 feet sections, cable radius drops, ceiling rods, 90-degree flat turns, wall support brackets and other fittings. The installer also ran the cable in the ceiling and along the walls to the work areas using J-Hooks. The jacks were installed into 48-Port modular patch panels and 2-port faceplates, establishing the connection between the MC and WO.

After the installation, the installer tested and passed the system’s permanent link to TIA® spec.
