A High School Awards a Data Cabling Contract to an ICC Elite Installer

ICC Success Stories

NJ – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a 300+ data drop contract for a high school in New Jersey. The installer used ICC’s CAT 6A and CAT 6 structured cabling systems to upgrade the communications network on campus.

Both systems ran from the main distribution frame room to the outlets in the classrooms. The CAT 6A connectivity consisted of 54,000 feet of plenum-rated cable, sixteen 24-Port patch panels and 250 HD keystone jacks. The CAT 6 connectivity included 18,000 feet of plenum-rated cable, twelve 24-Port patch panels and 100 EZ keystone jacks. The installer ran cable along the walls to the work areas using J-Hooks and installed the jacks into 1-Port surface mount boxes at the outlets. Existing infrastructure supported the additional cabling and equipment.

After the installation, the installer tested and passed the system’s permanent link to TIA® spec.
