ICC Success Stories

TX – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a data cabling contract for a new fourteen-floor, high-rise hotel in Texas. The installer built the Local Area Network using ICC’s Category 6 (CAT 6) copper-rated and 10G fiber optic systems.

The CAT 6 system consisted of 20,000 feet of CAT 6e cable and approximately 1800 CAT 6 keystone jacks. The jacks were installed into modular patch panels in the equipment room and single-gang faceplates at the outlets. The fiber optic connectivity consisted of 240 fibers, including six rack mount fiber optic enclosures equipped with 24-Fiber LC adapter panels. The infrastructure to support both systems included: 2-post and 4-post distribution racks7-foot ladder racks with fittings, vertical and horizontal finger duct panels, 3-inch D-rings, and rack shelves.

After the installation, the installer tested and passed the system’s permanent link to TIA® spec.
