CA – An ICC Elite Installer was awarded a cabling contract from a school for a new TK-3 campus in California. The installer used ICC products as the project required a Category 6 (CAT 6) structured cabling system to connect and distribute data services.
The system extended from the main cross-connect in the telecommunications room to the outlets in the classrooms. The connectivity consisted of 23,000 feet of CAT 6e plenum cable, 23,000 feet of CAT 6e riser cable, and 360 CAT 6 keystone jacks in blue. The installer used wall mount J-Hooks to run the cable between locations. The jacks were terminated and installed into 24-Port modular patch panels, single-gang faceplates, and surface mount boxes.
After the installation, the installer tested and passed the system’s permanent link to TIA® spec.
